The Importance of Trigger Discipline

Date: March 4 2024

One of the most critical aspects of safe firearm handling is trigger discipline. Whether you're carrying daily or training at the range, keeping your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire can prevent accidental discharges and increase control over your firearm.

Why It Matters:

- Prevents negligent discharges.

- Builds safe habits under stress.

- Ensures greater accuracy by reducing unintentional trigger pulls.

🔥 Drill to Practice:

Try dry-fire training at home with an unloaded firearm. Grip your handgun, keep your trigger finger straight along the frame, and practice acquiring your target without moving your trigger finger. This builds muscle memory for safe handling.
